Patrick Stewart: The ‘Classy’ Captain
by FlickCast on Jun.16, 2009, under Flick Cast
It looks like the “gracious and classy actor award” is going to Patrick Stewart and not William Shatner — at least according to a post over at IMDB. After Shatner’s much publicized disappointment with being left out of J.J. Abrams highly successful Star Trek reboot, Stewart’s delight with the film was a welcome display of his class and style. Then again, that’s why we love Patrick Stewart and sometimes want to kick Shatner’s Denny Crane in his legal briefs, right?

Joss Whedon Just Says ‘No’ To ‘Buffy’
by FlickCast on Jun.12, 2009, under Flick Cast
As you probably know, we were quite disturbed by the fact that the original producers of Buffy the Vampire Slayer were going ahead with a new movie and were not going to involve Joss Whedon. In fact, we couldn’t imagine it going forward at all without the man who basically invented the character and made the TV series what it was. But apparently, that man can imagine it going forward without him because Whedon was recently asked to participate, according to an interview over at EW Online, and pretty much gave the producers, Fran Rubel Kazui and Kaz Kazui, the finger.
